Documentation can be found at http://github/MetsExport/ Chinese Expedition in WWII to Observe the Total Solar Eclipse of 21 September, 1941 The Chinese Zijin Mountain Observatory sent an expedition to Lintao to observe this eclipse. The expedition team traveled 3200 kilometres and 43 days to reach the observation point. Over the expedition, they often found themselves in the shadow of Japanese bombers. It was thanks to the joint tremendous patriotic support from the government, military and other relevant parties that the team could finally accomplish the first modern total solar eclipse observation in China.
